Services

The Service Programs Operations Division of the Michigan Catholic Conference (MCC) provides the benefit services for the parishes, schools and diocesan offices of the Roman Catholic Church in Michigan. In addition, it provides employee benefits for the John Paul II Cultural Center, Washington, D.C. and loss protection for St. Ignatius Parish and schools and Christ the Redeemer, West Bay, Cayman Islands. We also are responsible for the Areopagus Network (private and secure) that connects the MCC and diocesan offices to one another and the public Internet.

The division employs three managers and 27 support staff who are responsible for the development and implementation of the broad range of employee benefits and property-casualty loss fund programs administered by the MCC. The Information Systems and Services Department supports the administrative functions and electronic communications.

It is the mission of the Service Programs Operations Division to provide comprehensive employee benefits and protection throughout the Province of Detroit with a dedication to support and service that exemplifies the commitment of the staff. It is our belief this can be accomplished through a consolidated administrative effort that maximizes the benefits and services while controlling the premiums and administrative costs.
